EXERCISE

 

It’s no secret that exercise is good for us. It can improve our fitness, our physical capabilities, reduce the risk of disease, increase bone density (especially important as we get older), make us happier and increase our energy levels. All that and we are only beginning to scratch the surface. 

At Central Fitness, we encourage you to move more. With our free fitness classes, skilled Personal Trainers and top of the line equipment, our gym is fully equipped to make exercise easy.

 

DIET & NUTRITION

 

 

Maybe it's not as obvious what role nutrition or diet plays in our health and wellbeing. Everyone is different and finding the method that works for us can be challenging but, once we discover it and start forming good relationships with food, our goals become far more achievable.

 

Whether you want to learn how to build muscle and strength, how to lose weight or learn how to improve your general eating habits, we can help. Ask the team at Central Fitness about the tips and tricks we employ to help with our eating. It’s worth knowing that we use the word ‘Diet’ carefully, maybe diet is even the wrong term.

 

The term Diet is limiting - “I’m going to go on a diet for a month for weight loss”. We prefer Food Education - “I am going to learn about food so I can maintain a healthy weight for the rest of my life”.

WELLBEING

 

 

There are many aspects to our well being. Our food choices and exercise routines are important, but having a balanced social life is just as important for our health. Research shows people with strong social support live longer!! Interacting with others boosts feelings of wellbeing and decreases feelings of depression.

 

It is also linked to a stronger immune system and a lower risk of dementia.

At Central Fitness we encourage members to share their fitness journey with others and we invite our members along to regular social fitness events hosted in the outdoors.

 

STILL NOT SURE?

 

 

There still seems to be a stigma around the gym or health and fitness industry. We are working hard to break that. The gym is for everyone. It includes bodybuilders and weight lifters. It includes the dedicated group fitness classes goers, even those gorgeous boys, and girls that post everything online. It’s also a place for people like you and me who want to live a healthier, happier life. 

We have created a place that supports and caters for our overall well-being. Central Fitness makes us happy, it helps us feel good about ourselves and we want you to be a part of it.
